This year, we’re starting off our year of amazing events with a fall party. Join us for an evening of engaging conversation where you’ll meet writers and publishing experts, and get a swag bag!

What is the Fall Kickoff?
CWIP’s Fall Kickoff is a fun night of inspiration at the Catalyst Ranch, Chicago’s most creative meeting venue.

What will we be discussing?
Our keynote speaker for the night is Joy Triche. Joy founded Tiger Stripe Publishing, a Chicago-based independent publisher of children’s books, whose mission is to develop high-quality products that celebrate diversity. She will share advice from her nearly two decades in the industry. She will also speak to how we can all spark change in our communities and lives.

Joy will discuss Sparking Your Flame in Five Easy Steps. She’ll show you how to:

  1. Identify your passion.
  2. Find an outlet for your passion.
  3. Establish a fan base.
  4. Fan the flames.
  5. Rinse and repeat, because stuff happens.

Who will be there?
You’ll meet fellow CWIP members and our CWIP board. There are always friendly faces to mingle with. Our community includes publishing experts from writers, to indie publishers, and editors among other professionals.

Will there be food?
Yes! Like most of our events, we’ll have food that you can eat while mingling with other writers.
