Upcoming Events

Check out CWIP's 2016/17 educational and special events* held on the third Wednesdays of most months. All events are open to the public, but are either free or at preferred pricing for CWIP members. Our Events Calendar lists every CWIP event as all the details become available.

Many events are held at the U.S. Bank Building (40th floor) at 190 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago, which is accessible by public transportation. While this building does not provide parking, discounted parking is available nearby through ParkWhiz or SpotHero.

Networking generally begins around 5:30 p.m. with the program running from 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Additional networking time follows the educational portion of the evening.

Look for additional Saturday workshops, mentorship events, and networking mixers throughout the year.

CWIP programming takes a break in the summer and returns again in the fall.

Our Members Say...

"As the author of a children’s book, I needed an editor with experience in children’s literature, language arts, and Lexile scores. Fortunately, I discovered CWIP's Freelance Directory and found the perfect match for my manuscript. Soon I began attending the monthly meetings, becoming a CWIP member myself. Where else can you learn so much about the publishing world through knowledgeable and experienced guest speakers? The networking opportunities helped introduce me to publishing professionals familiar with print production—even marketing. I found my team at CWIP."
